Sporting Opportunities and Other Country Pursuits ROUGH SHOOTING Rough shooting is available over the surrounding 300+ acres. Two wooded valleys extend either side of the farmhouse and are well accessed by forest tracks. The woodland is varied with oak, fir and scrub On Sunday morning you will be taken by land rover (with the family if they wish), around the boundaries. You may shoot all vermin viz. crows, jackdaws, pigeons, rooks, jays, squirrels, foxes, and rabbits. Rough shooters must not shoot red or roe deer, buzzards or badgers. This must be said because there are often a great many of these species in the wood! Walk out with gun and dog anytime you like. As we have a pheasant shoot in the winter, good dog control must be exercised from the end of July when the young birds are on the feed rides.Rough Shooting is included in the Cottage rental for One Gun Only.
