House from lake
House from lake

Beaples Barton is a large 'L' shaped farmhouse on the edge of Exmoor. The house is secluded with no near neighbours and surrounded on three sides by over 200 acres of woodland with direct access to all guests to the miles of woodland walks and rides. Adjacent to the house is a lake.

The village of Knowstone is only 20 minute walk away through the woods and it has a pretty 13th century Inn, The Masons Arms, a well known Michelin star restaurant and bar with real ale. The Stag Inn at Rackenford (4 miles) is another olde world thatched pub with a variety of draught beers and excellent affordable food. It also has log fires, a warm welcome and is children friendly. The town of South Molton is about 10 minutes away by car. This small market town has a Swimming Pool, Supermarkets, Antique / Curio shops and a Pannier & Livestock Market on Thursdays.

The North Devon coast with its Swimming / Surfing beaches of Woolacombe , Croyde, Saunton Sands, and Westward Ho are within easy reach, as are the beaches of the South Devon coast. The city of Exeter is only 45 minutes drive away.

The owners, Hilary and Howard Reeves, welcome everyone and encourage an easy going informal atmosphere to help you relax and enjoy your holiday to the full.
